Server-Side Linux Application Developer

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to design and develop server-side style applications on an embedded Linux platform. They will be part of a team building durable, reliable, high quality professional audio products for a broad range of markets. This is your opportunity to be involved in a project from detailed design to production release; to contribute to the architecture and implementation of a new generation of products.
To do well at this job you must be skilled with C programming and an object oriented language. Proficient application of object oriented analysis and design skills are a must. The challenge of crafting nimble, optimized, reliable code that can run in a limited resource environment should appeal to you. Experience developing Linux drivers would be beneficial. A keen interest in audio or music is also a definite asset.

Required skills and experience

- B. Eng. or B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience
- 3+ years experience in professional software development
- Experience in server-side development on a Linux platform
- Solid skills in C and C++ programming
- Ability to build well documented reliable code that is delivered on time and according to specification
- Ability to work as a productive member of a multi-disciplinary development team
- Ability to read and interpret technical information and concepts
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Must be eligible to work in the USA
Other helpful experience

- Experience developing Apache modules, PHP, or Mono a plus
- Experience developing Linux drivers a definite plus
- Experience with or keen interest in audio or music
